Two SA winners featured in Stayz Top 10 Holiday Homes of the Year Awards

Stayz, one of Australia’s holiday home websites, has released its annual list of Australia’s top 10 holiday homes, with two SA homes making the list.

A New York loft style retreat at Encounter Bay took seventh place, while The Three Arches in Glenelg took ninth. Check out the gorgeous homes below.

The New York loft inspired two storey home is perfectly located on the esplanade at Encounter Bay. It has spectacular ocean views to Granite Island and Seal Island from both decks and living areas (upstairs and down).

With its tilt up concrete walls, stainless steel bench tops, pressed tin stairs, commercial aluminium sliding doors and windows, this property oozes industrial cool.

The upstairs is breathtaking with open plan living, dining and kitchen flowing to the undercover balcony with stunning water views. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, coffee machine and designer appliances. Also upstairs is the delightful main bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

Downstairs there are two more bedrooms, a large bathroom (with bath, shower and laundry facilities) and another living area with spectacular ocean views.

The Three Arches is aptly names as when you walk inside, you can see the magnificent tall arched windows and high ceiling.

The beautiful home will appeal to both corporates and holiday makers. It is located in the trendy cosmopolitan, beach side of Glenelg and has 3 main Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms that can accommodate up to 8 guests.

A contemporary designed accommodation, open plan entertaining plus a children’s TV room upstairs as well as the main living area downstairs are just some of the highlights.

In the awards’ 10th year, the coveted gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to properties listed on Stayz on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Red Hill in Victoria and Lennox Head on New South Wales’ Far North Coast, with the wins set to boost regional tourism as the industry works towards a post-pandemic recovery.

  6. A cosy pet-friendly 1930s cottage in Mudgee, NSW
  7. A New York loft style retreat at Encounter Bay in South Australia
  8. A beachfront getaway in Busselton, WA
  9. A beach house in Margaret River
  10. The Three Arches in Glenelg in South Australia
