This week a new cafe opened in Adelaide’s western suburbs, bringing a fresh take on brunch with local produce and a Japanese twist.

Two Sisters Cafe is the latest project by Jessica Helinda, the sous chef at modern Asian restaurant, Sora, and owner of Jess Pantry & Co, an online store selling high-quality vanilla beans.

Now, Jessica has taken on a new project, infusing her culinary skills with a love of coffee.

Two Sisters Cafe is proudly pouring Single O coffee. Single O is a Sydney-based coffee roaster that started its journey in 2003. With a mission to roast coffee of good flavour and freshness using the best quality produce, Single O has been sharing its roasts at its Surry Hills location, cafes all over the country, and the coffee-loving community ever since.

Single O also has a home base in Japan and has been introducing Aussie coffee culture to Tokyo since 2014. Single O has two cafes in Hamacho and Ryogoku and a coffee bar in Shibuya. With Japanese culture and flavours being heavily present at Two Sisters Cafe it is a no-brainer to have the coffee being supplied by Single O. This blend of local produce and international influences is what sets Two Sisters Cafe apart.

In addition, specialty teas are being supplied by Somage, a Melbourne-based certified organic tea, chai, chocolate & spice producer, which will perfectly pair with pastries from local producer, Fold. To top it off, Fleurieu Milk Company will be providing the milk.

Two Sisters Cafe will be serving up all-day breakfast and lunch, and homemade sweets.

All of this will be served on Made in Japan tableware, a Melbourne-based homewares company that has spent over 30 years sourcing the finest Japanese tableware directly from the artisans themselves. The unique colours, patterns, and designs of the tableware complement the neutral tones featured throughout the cafe.

Inside the cafe, dark and light meet to create a calming atmosphere, perfect to enjoy a coffee and pastry. The bar features small dark hexagon tiles and a thick wooden table top, framed by bright cream walls and cozy bench seating.

Two Sisters Cafe is open daily, weekdays 7:30am to 3pm, and weekends 8am to 3pm. The cafe operates on a walk-in-only basis.
