There are few better pairings than wine and cheese, and with this course, you’ll be able to learn about why they go so well together.
As part of Adelaide Hills festival Chardonnay May, Lobethal cheese makers Udder Delights are teaming up with Petaluma Wines for a cheese and wine masterclass aptly named ‘Chardonnay – It’s So Cheesy.’
However, the event and Chardonnay May in general are proving the wine variety is delicious and in-vogue––not cheesy!––and that there are some brilliant Chardonnay’s being made in the hills at the moment.
Udder Delights are cheese makers that pride themselves on working with local dairies to provide their customers with quality cow and goats’ milk cheese.
They have been making cheese in the Adelaide Hills since 1999 in their Lobethal factory and have their extremely popular cheese cellar in the town of Hahndorf.
Petaluma are specialist producers when it comes to Chardonnay, which is known as the Queen of Whites. This masterclass will not only feature a vintage Croser, but also four different Chardonnays including the renowned Tiers Chardonnay. Udder Delights’ Sheree Sullivan has picked five cheese varieties for these beauties, and with Petaluma’s Linda Popp, she will guide you through the match.
In this special masterclass, you will be able to try five different types of Udder Delights cheeses and five different Chardonnays.
The event will be held at Petaluma’s stunning Woodside winery, which will provide the perfect backdrop.
The event will run on Saturday 22nd of May from 11am and Sunday 23rd May from 10am, and tickets are $49. Spaces are strictly limited so it’s advised you book in early to avoid disappointment. Your taste buds will thank you.
