The ultimate winter event is coming to Adelaide, with a night of good cheese and wine that’ll leave you grinning from ear to ear.
Enjoy the lush taste of winter wines from South Australian wine company, Yalumba, paired with traditional cheeses from The Barossa Valley Cheese Company at Cheeky Grin Coffee’s first ever night event, ‘Cheeky After Dark’ on Thursday, 19 August.
With a focus on highlighting superior quality South Australian produce and wine, guests will be treated to tastings of four winter wines each paired to a different cheese in an intimate setting.
Held at Cheeky Grin Coffee in Firle, guests can expect wine, cheese, coffee, goodie bags and a whole lot of knowledge on the local produce.
Owner of Cheeky Grin Coffee Stefan Iannace says, “I’ve been wanting to run a night event since day one of opening the shop to highlight some of my favourite local South Australian brands and bring something new and different to do in the Eastern suburbs.”
“I’m super passionate about being more than just a coffee shop. I want to give back to the local community and this is something different to do in what has been a bit of a ‘stand still area’ with not much happening,” he says.
“We take a lot of pride in listening to what our customers want, and a wine and cheese was right up there in their requests.”
Kevin Glastonbury (KG) from Yalumba and Victoria McClurg from The Barossa Valley Cheese Company will educate guests on the history and palette of each product for a full sensory tasting experience.
KG from Yalumba says, “I have personally been a big fan of Stefan and Cheeky Grin Coffee since it opened so it was a no-brainer to collaborate when we were asked. Our Nursery is a global leader in wine innovation, supplying quality grape vines to the Australian wine industry and this event will allow us to share it with my local community, in my local suburb.”
Victoria from The Barossa Valley Cheese Company says, “Wine and cheese on a cold winters night is a match made in heaven and the Cheeky After Dark event was the perfect opportunity for us to share our artisan cheese with Adelaide’s east-enders.”
