Glam had a word with MANE, AKA Paige Renee Court – one of Adelaide’s bright up coming local indie songwriters ahead of Umbrella; Winter City Sounds, the best local music festival in the middle of the year. She gave us her list of the top five things to check out as part of the festival which runs for a fortnight from July 14.
- JULY 28 | SCOUTED FESTIVAL| ADELAIDE’S EAST END
I’m really looking forward to playing this one, such a rad and diverse line up showcasing. Very keen to pace around the east end of Adelaide catching everyone’s sets. $20 for 15 bands. NOT BAD.
- JULY 14 | Timberwolf| Hold You Up Tour | JIVE
Timberwolf has been killing the game this year already, I would definitely recommend getting along to this one. No doubt it will be special.
- JULY 15 | Broads| The Grace Emily
Broads have a very beautiful sound. They are touring through Adelaide on July 15 at the good ole Grace Em, get along if you’d like you’re ears to be massaged with some very sweet sounding harmonies.
- TRAM SESSIONS| Random performances throughout July
Porch Sessions are teaming up with Tram Sessions again this year. It’s going to be a hoot, keep an eye out for music on the trams! If you miss it, you’ll be able to catch the videos online.
- JULY 17 | Sights, Sounds and Soirees| The Producers Bar
Get along to the Producers and support the Music SA cert III students who have help bring this to fruition. Live music paired with film and a whole lot of local goodness.
Umbrella: Winter City Sounds runs from July 14 to July and you can catch MANE at Scouted Festival on July 28 in the East End of the city.
