UniBar, Cloisters & Lawns at Adelaide Uni to host the most epic party series all summer long

Acoustic sessions, open-air movie nights, drag shows, performances by Montaigne and weekly parties… the Cloisters & lawns of the University of Adelaide is the place to be this summer.

Summer is officially kicking off with a bang thanks to our friends at The College Green. Over eight glorious weeks bathed in sunshine and under the stars, the Cloisters & lawns of the University of Adelaide sprawling out from UniBar will become your destination for culture, food and fun this summer.

Starting on 4 November, the College Green is hosting a myriad of events from live music to drag shows, DJs to 90s cover-bands and everything in between, it’s sure to be a summer to remember.

Cult on Green: Acoustic Sessions + Deck Chair Cinema Wednesday’s 

Every Wednesday from 4 November 23 December.

Cult on Green, every Wednesday in November and December is the perfect mid-week fix. Live acoustic artists playing originals and songs that inspire them, bathed in the early evening sunset from 5pm. Then, on the big screen, under the stars, cult movie classics. Grab a bottle, grab a deck chair and forget about the rest of the week.

Acoustic Sessions highlights include live performances by Jamie Wilson, Cosmo Thundercat Solo, Ricky Albeck and Kyle Charles Hall. Amongst a stellar line-up of films includes Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, Jurassic Park, Scream and Kill Bill.

We Used To Be Friends Thursday’s 

Every Thursday from 5 November to 24 December.

UniBar ADL presents We Used To Be Friends, live and free music every Thursday night on the big stage, outdoors on the College Green. Free entry and drinks specials every week, with bars opening from 5pm, Tom Barrowcliff Quartet from 6pm and live weekly guests from 8pm.

Boogie Friday’s

Every Friday from 6 November to 18 December.

Adelaide’s Biggest Beer Garden plays host to six glorious sun-soaked Friday’s afternoon to evening parties. Under the stars with DJ’s spinning tracks throughout, it’s free entry before 8pm.

Saturday 7 November.

Hear the best tunes from Oasis performed by the number one Oasis tribute show in the world today. noasis bring back to life that magical wall of sound with Liam and Noel Gallagher at it again. Their set will include anthems such as; Some might say, Don’t look back in anger, Wonderwall, Cigarettes & alcohol, Supersonic, Live forever, What’s the story, Lyla, Hindu Times, and loads more. The night is pumped and ramped up by the How Soon Is Now? DJ’s playing top tunes from the era. Not a night you will want to miss.

Ashes to Ashes: David Bowie Experience + DJ Mark Yusef Wilson

Saturday 14 November.

Ashes To Ashes are recognised as one of Australia’s premier tribute acts paying homage to the legendary David Bowie, through faithful and respectful renditions of his songs.

This seven-piece band from Adelaide, fronted by the very talented Paul Matthews, has been selling out shows and attracting rave reviews in recent years, and are now poised to take the show on the road – COVID restrictions permitting.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see Ashes To Ashes at the Adelaide UniBar this November. If you are a die-hard fan or just there to hear the plentiful radio hits, you will love it. Montaigne is not only Australia’s representative-elect for Eurovision, obviously postponed until 2021, but a bona fide pop star and emerging icon. Now, as 2020 finally draws to a close she will be performing under the stars in the beautiful College Green venue for one night only, with very special guests Heaps Good Friends and OC3ANEYES.
