Unley hotspot STH launches Springtime Italian-fusion menu

Since its opening in March, STH has become a go-to destination for foodies, revitalising the northern end of King William Road.

In the suburb best known for its eclectic mix of fashionable boutiques and chic cafes, which capture the aspirations and lifestyles of the local community, STH is turning heads with its mouthwatering food and European vibe.

As the seasons change, so does the menu, reflecting the warmth of spring and summer.

The latest offering from the STH team is a menu that has a modern Australian feel, but with an intriguing Italian twist. I’m talking house-made Potato Gnocchi and rich, aromatic Porchetta. Seafood lovers are in for a treat with Linguini, made using fresh Australian clams.

From the refreshing Kingfish Sashimi, infused with passionfruit and fresh herbs, to the Roasted Cauliflower seasoned with Middle Eastern spices, there’s something for everyone. And for mains, there’s the robust 350g Scotch Fillet or the Grilled Barramundi served with a rich crustacean sauce.

Owner Mark Zito said “As we promised when we opened, we’re changing the menu so that we can constantly evolve our flavours and cater to as many of our wonderful community as we can.”

But STH isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience from the moment you step foot inside.

The ambience, curated by Adrian Condina, complements the culinary journey. Drawing inspiration from classic European brasseries, bistros, and owner Mark Zito’s Italian lineage, the interior is a visual delight. The tan quilted leather banquettes, retro-inspired tables, and walnut panelling evoke the feeling of a train carriage.

The design elements, from the deco-inspired aged-bronze mirrors to the terrazzo floors echoing South Australia’s landscapes, add layers of depth to the dining experience.

And I’m not the only one who thinks so. The restaurant has been shortlisted for the 2023 Eat Drink Design Awards.

So, as the weather warms up and the nights get longer, there hasn’t been a better time to check out STH.
