Ruined your favourite t-shirt? This place can help!
With the environment at the forefront of their minds, the Unley Repair Cafe are open Saturday 24 April from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the vibrant and welcoming Clarence Park Community Centre, to give new life to damaged goods.
Whether you’ve got something that’s broken, torn or busted, bring it in to the cafe and learn how to fix it with the help of expert repairers on site whose aim is to reduce the waste that ends up in landfill.
The Unley Repair Cafe is a community-based initiative that is completely free to attend, however donations are highly appreciated due to the voluntary nature of the climate conscious work they do.
Open for three hours, the cafe accepts repairs on a number of items including electronics, clothing, furniture, bikes and jewellery, depending on which experts are there on the day.
A few key things to know before coming along to the Unley Repair Cafe:
- Only one item per person (you may re-join the queue for additional items)
- Last repairs at 12pm
- If your repair requires a specific part (buttons, screws etc.), please bring it along!
- Items must be small enough to carry through the doors
- No whitegoods, vehicle repairs, clocks or watches
The crafty team at Unley Repair Cafe welcome anyone and everyone to come down and see what’s going on, even if you don’t have a repair! You never know what new skills you might learn.
The Unley Repair Cafe has been open on the last Saturday of every month since April 2018.
The Unley Repair Cafe is located at the Clarence Park Community Centre at Institute Building, corner East Ave and Canterbury Tce, 72/74 East Ave, Black Forest SA 5035.
