The 2KW Oyster Festival is a fundamental part of the 2KW calendar and for good reason.
As a state known for abundant seafood, with many local suppliers winning national awards, 2KW’s Seafood and Oyster Festival is returning in 2020.
Held as part of Tasting Australia’s local program in October this year (after the full festival was bumped to 2021), it’s a reason to dust off the party frock, or stretchy pants for that matter, and head outside your house. Exciting, right?
Join 2KW Bar and Restaurant executive chef Trent Lymn as he celebrates all that’s fresh from the ocean.
Two hours of rooftop terrace indulgence await you at 2KW’s Seafood and Oyster Festival.
On the menu: Eyre Peninsula oysters, hand-caught calamari from the Fleurieu, Largs Bay crab and an abundance of local fish.
Exquisite canapés and hearty paella will be matched to still and sparkling wine from across the Adelaide Hills, with Coopers beer also included in the experience.
If it’s your first time visiting 2KW, you’ll find it atop one of Adelaide’s best-known heritage-listed buildings on the corner of King William Street and North Terrace.
Even regulars are wowed by the views, which extend across the city to the Riverbank, Adelaide Oval and beyond.
Lymn took on the venue’s executive chef role in 2018. His background includes a stint running his own café-restaurant in Argentina and working for British gastropub pioneer David Eyre in London.
Seafood fans are advised to get in early for this Tasting Australia extravaganza: it’s tipped to sell out.
