UNO launches Port & Crows themed packs

As if the AFL Showdown wasn’t competitive enough, a family favourite card game, UNO has jumped on the bandwagon, with branded AFL cards being sold state-wide.

This family game is set to spark some friendly rivalry in households across Adelaide, and South Aussies can exclusively purchase their packs from any OTR store.

The packs of branded UNO cards, which were launched ahead of the Showdown on May 8, carry the clubs’ mascots on one side and the clubs’ logos on the other.

The popular card-shedding games celebrates its 50th anniversary this year after being invented in 1971 by an American barber to resolve a dispute with his son about the rules of another card game.

Today, the game is produced by toy giant, Mattel and has sold more than 151 million copies in 80 countries world-wide.

OTR General Manager, Darryl Cotter said he hoped that people would enjoy extending the showdown rivalry into a game of UNO.

“The cards are likely to be popular with both groups of club supporters”, Mr. Cotter said.

“The AFL UNO cards extend the range of toys and games stocked at OTR stores which have proved particularly popular with people taking road trips, heading out on the family holiday or as a last-minute gift.”

The Crows and Port AFL UNO cards retail for $14.99 and can be found at any South Australian OTR store.
