A cocktail by the beach, it doesn’t get more glam than that! If that sounds like your sort of thing (we’d be surprised if it wasn’t), you’re in luck. This July, the Urban Cocktail Trail is coming to one of Adelaide’s most iconic coastal strips, bringing together a collection of local businesses for the ultimate twist on a pub crawl.
“The Urban Cocktail Trail was created as a way to celebrate the art, craftsmanship, and joy of a well-made cocktail,” shared owner and director Josh Starick.
“The experience begins at a starting venue, where guests enjoy a bite to eat, before setting off to explore the rest of the cocktail trail at their own pace. Each participating venue serves up a unique signature cocktail, and where you stop and sip is completely up to you.”
The Urban Cocktail Trail bring these cocktail crawls all over the country. Now with their sights set on Henely, this is sure to be an exciting move for the team.
“Henley Beach has everything we look for in a new neighbourhood – great local bars all within walking distance, a fun, beachside vibe, and the perfect excuse to explore somewhere new! With its mix of quality venues, ocean views, and laid-back charm, it was a no-brainer for the Urban Cocktail Trail.”

On July 5th, you’ll be able to try five delicious cocktails from five Henley establishments, and we’re not talking your average spritz. Each of the five participating venues will be shaking, stirring and swirling up a signature cocktail that’s been crafted especially for the trail.
The day kicks off at the stunning Henley House rooftop overlooking the coast, where you can then set off at your own pace and discover the best cocktails Henley has to offer. Here you’ll have the chance to try their fresh, fizzy, and super zesty Ambra Limoncello Spritz.
From there, head to HNLY for their Apple Crumble cocktail for Apple Crumble cocktail. This one’s made with Licor 43, dark rum, apple juice, and is complete with a biscuit crumble. It’s a boozy dessert in a glass. Mia Margarita will be bringing the tropical vibes with their Mango Colada. This is made with coconut rum, mango, pineapple, lime, and coconut syrup, and is sure to whisk you straight to an island paradise.
Ocean Bar + Kitchen is bringing their Oceans Fine Pine to the table, which is a bright and balanced mix of vodka, pineapple and cranberry. Finally, the Ramsgate Hotel has created a sweet, floral number called the Ruby in Disguise. This features Red Hen’s Ruby Tuesday Strawberry Gin.

For the day, there are two ticket options, both with limited availability, so you’ll want to get in fast. The cocktail lover is $89 and includes a $10 food voucher that is valid until 2pm, and five cocktail vouchers to use at any participating venue. The other option is the trailblazer, which is $75 and includes the same food voucher and four cocktail vouchers.
Josh recommends heading to registrations early and planning your day from the get-go.
“Registrations start at 12 pm, an hour before the event kicks off at 1 pm, so plenty of time to discuss where you want to sip and stroll first,” he recommends.
This fun, flirty day is unmistakably Henley. So dress in your Saturday best and grab your mates for a day of fun by the sea. This is your cocktail crawl, your way.
