Van Gogh Alive exhibition extends popular season

The immersive art event, which recently extended its run until August 22, has now made masks and limited capacity mandatory for the re-opening.

The doors of Van Gogh Alive will swing open from 10am 28 July to once again entertain Adelaide with the multi-sensory spectacular that has been the talk of the town since opening on July 1.

Completely Covid-safe and compliant, the re-opening will be guided by the latest SA Health guidelines.

Masks are mandatory and the experience will operate at limited capacity with an approved Covid-safe plan for the season that runs until August 22.

Almost 80,000 tickets have been sold to the multi-sensory experience and producer Andrew Kay can’t wait to welcome South Australians back to Van Gogh Alive.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support of Adelaide and South Australia to this experience; it’s heartening that so many of you have been entertained by this world-first experience in the purpose-built Grand Pavilion, with most sessions, to date, selling out.

“In response, we recently extended the season until August 22.”

Van Gogh Alive paused for seven days due to the statewide lockdown and impacted customers received a full refund and are encouraged to repurchase a new session.

There are some tickets available for this weekend with visitors’ safety the number one priority for staff and organisers of Van Gogh Alive, says Kay.

“Van Gogh Alive has been presented in many countries around the world during the Covid-19 pandemic. Through this period, we have learnt valuable lessons on how to keep our patrons safe.

“Because your safety is our priority when we do reopen in North Adelaide, we will be further reducing the venue’s capacity to ensure both your safety and your comfort.

Our Van Gogh Alive front of house staff, who have been trained in Covid-19 protocols, will also be ensuring that patrons follow appropriate social distancing and any other protocol as determined by SA Health.”

Van Gogh Alive has discounted ticket prices for 9am on Saturdays and Sundays and 12.30pm to 4.30pm inclusive Monday to Thursday.
