As part of a 2021 focus to incorporate more plant-based offerings in their menu, the popular pub venue is launching a tasty plant-based Parmi.

The picturesque Adelaide Hills pub has announced a plant-based alternative to the Aussie classic, now on offer as part of a new initiative by the venue to incorporate more menu options that cater to a range of dietary requirements.

The 150g vegan schnitzel patty, priced at $24, is made from vegetables and pea protein, coated in a deliciously crispy wheat batter and topped with vegan cheese and a generous drizzling of that all-important tomato sauce. Guests won’t be disappointed with a hearty side portion of chips and a fresh salad, and there’s even a vegan gravy available for those who like to switch up their toppings.

Schnitzel lovers have long been making their parmi pilgrimage to The Bridgewater Inn on Wednesdays, when the venue hosts a whole day dedicated to the pub favourite. Vegans will now be able to join the hordes of hungry guests and chow down on a plant-based schnitzel for $15, with a $4 Vegan parmi topping.

The Vegan parmi signals a wave of woke menu options being introduced as new Head Chef, Stephen Russell, launches the venue’s new Winter Menu next month, poised to delight plant-based punters with a range of delicious vegan options for starters, mains and desserts.

Eager to provide the ultimate pub experience for guests with a range of dietary requirements, a number of gluten-free, vegetarian and keto-friendly options will also be available.

If plant-based food isn’t your thing, the shroud of vibrant, autumnal colours and stunning hills vista is enough to justify a visit to the The Bridgewater Inn.
