VIC border opens and QR Code system launches as SA records no new cases

While SA continues to record consistently high testing numbers, there have been no new cases found over the past day.

The Transition Committee’s next meeting this coming Friday may be the date where further restrictions are eased, according to SA Premier Steven Marshall.

Mr Marshall noted that this is due to the health advice, but celebrated the opening of the Victorian border with SA.

While SA continues to record consistently high testing numbers, there have been no new cases found over the past day.

There are still 33 cases linked to the Parafield cluster, but contacts of close contacts have been reduced to 1,200.

Professor Spurrier also disclosed information about a previous overseas case which their team had missed reporting publicly.

The woman arrived on November 15 and quarantined in the medi-hotel.

Professor Spurrier says that she is now cleared of COVID-19, and is of no risk to the public.

From today, the South Australian Government is introducing COVID SAfe Check-In, which aims to increase contact tracing capabilities.
