Victor Harbor Fringe Festival brings markets, music and psychic fun to the Foreshore

The Victor Harbor Fringe Festival will transform Warland Reserve into a family-friendly celebration of markets, music, food and community vibes this Valentine’s Day weekend.

The Victor Harbor Fringe Festival is set to take over Warland Reserve next Saturday, February 14th, transforming the foreshore into a celebration centred around one of the region’s most loved markets. Running from 1pm and into the evening, the free, family-friendly event is inviting the public to an experience that celebrates small businesses and the community with a bit of fun.

Presented by the Victor Harbor Artisan Market, the festival is an evolution of its usual market format, expanding it into an all-day Fringe-style event. Thanks to funding from the South Australian Tourism Commission and the Algal Bloom Event Support Fund, the team has been able to take things to the next level and reimagine what a day at the market can be, all while keeping it accessible and welcoming for everyone.

At the centre of the festival is a lineup of artisan and creative stalls showcasing handmade goods, art, fashion and gifts. Attendees will have a chance to stroll between stalls, meet the makers, hear the inspiration behind their work and find unique pieces that feel personal and meaningful.

The market atmosphere is elevated with live music on the main stage, roaming performers, interactive arts experiences and hands-on workshops that invite people of all ages to get involved. There are heaps to keep kids happy too, with games and activities designed for children big and small.

Foodies are well catered for, with a range of food options and three artisan bars serving up local beverages. Expect wines from the Langhorne Creek Wine Region, and drinks from Heaps Good Spirits and Beer No Evil. Adding to the fun is the Queen of Wands Psychic Fair, which will be a unique market-style experience that’s all about curiosity.

With Valentine’s Day falling on the same date, the festival is using the theme of love to celebrate a love for family, community and the world we share. This is brought to life through Hearts for Humanity, a creative community project inviting attendees to bring along a handmade heart featuring messages of love and hope. These will become part of a Tunnel of Love installation, creating a powerful visual reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with intention and care.

The Victor Harbor Fringe Festival, set against the stunning backdrop of Warland Reserve, is the perfect day out. Whether you’re a local or looking at making the trip, there’s something to keep the whole family this Valentine’s Day!
