With a vibrant splash of colour and finesse, the Vietnamese Tet Festival returns to Adelaide during Lunar New Year and the Year of the Fire Horse, for a full weekend celebrating Vietnamese culture and cuisine.
This weekend, the Vietnamese Community Centre will host the annual celebration – rich with tradition and alive with activity – showcasing a variety of authentic and modern food stalls, live music and performances, with the Year of the Fire Horse symbolising energy, renewal, courage, and forward momentum.

One of South Australia’s longest-running multicultural festivals, the event gives Vietnamese-Australians the opportunity to proudly display their cultural identity in an environment that is warm, inviting and inclusive, with crowds anticipated to reach in excess of 10,000 over the Festival’s two days.
Hot on the weekend’s agenda will be a traditional lion dance with an energetic ensemble of talented performers, a whole host of special community stalls – including Saigon Beer and Karaoke Garden and African Soul Drummers – and photobooth opportunities set to capture happy snaps of attendees in full celebration-mode.

Designed to be a fun-filled and action-fuelled day for the whole family, there are also plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, including a jumping castle and face painting, games and prizes.
If you’re passionate about Vietnamese culture and looking for an excuse to greet the Lunar New Year with a bang, this is your official invitation to an unmissable event that only gets better each year and is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
