Vine and Bubble’s SA dinner series will pair top champagnes with exceptional food

Australia’s Champagne magazine, Bubble and Vine, will bring their national dinner series, to Adelaide early next year.

Australia’s Champagne magazine Vine and Bubble, have announced a national dinner event, coming to Adelaide early next year.

The Champagne and Sommeliers Dinner Series will offer an unique and special dining experience that brings together some of Australia’s top sommeliers, in their capital cities, for one night only.

In Adelaide you’ll be able to join Bhatia Dheeraj, Australia’s wizard of wine. Bhatia has a very impressive record as a sommelier at many international fine dining establishments, including a three-year stint at Raffles in Singapore, as well as the head Sommelier at the Penfolds Magill Estate restaurant. He has also worked at The Peninsula Hong Kong, Merivale Group Sydney, Coogee Wine Room, and Robuchon au Dôme Macau, just to name a few.

Marcell Kustos PhD is the head sommelier and wine buyer at Penfolds Magill Estate and wine educator at TAFE SA, who holds a PhD in food, wine and emotion pairing. His product development talents within winemaking, sensory marketing and flavour chemist have driven him to become a curator of memorable wine experiences. Known for his work with Penfold, Restaurant Botanic and Le Cordon Bleu, Marcell pushes the boundaries to create a flavour explosion.

Liinaa Berry of 2KW Bar and Restaurant, Mt Lofty Estate, Sequoia and Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant says Adelaide is everything a wine lover could want. In 2015, she curated the 2000 bottle wine list for the Crafters Hotel, which won Best Hotel List in the country by Gourmet Traveller.

On the night expect great champagne, inspiring food, and expert commentary from Adelaide’s top sommeliers.

Seven exceptional champagnes, personally selected by Bhatia, Marcell and Liinaa, will be paired alongside a 6-course tasting menu prepared by the team at Restaurant Eleven

Enjoy the best of South Australia with contemporary and French-inspired cuisine.

All champagnes will be served in the spirit of generosity with full, 100ml pours.

Whilst the full menu hasn’t been released yet if the quality of the Sommeliers is anything to go by this night will be a fantastic evening of food and wine.
