It was the end of January when we first wrote about a new coffee spot hitting Henley Beach Road with a cheeky name and colourful drink list.
Then in April they popped up in Prospect, expanding after selling around 200 cans a day when owner Tom Kosmidis first opened the debut venue in Torrensville.
Now, barely six months after opening its very first venue, Lickd has launched a third location on Anzac Highway, and this time it comes with a car wash twist.
The team at Lickd has paired up with Soak Carwash, a subscription-based car wash offering three-minute cleans and free vacuums. The duo held its opening on Sunday, May 31, washing more than 1,000 cars and giving away free coffee, Golden North ice creams, Balfours bakery goods, and treats from Keki and That Cookie Guy.
So if you drove past the new venue on Sunday and caught a glimpse of the line-up at the purple car wash, here’s your answer.

Although the weather didn’t shine and the rain came down, it didn’t stop cars from pulling in to claim their free wash, with purple flags reading “Free car washes” fluttering in the wind to announce the offer.
The drive-through car wash features purple neon signs and rows of complimentary vacuum stations, with each car receiving a Keki treat as drivers lined up on the day.

The Keki team shared on Instagram that the grand opening weekend was a celebration of hard work, late nights and big ideas.
“Seeing everyone come through, enjoying the atmosphere, supporting local businesses, grabbing a sweet treat, an ice cream, a coffee and showing loce to Soak made the whole weekend so special,” they wrote.
“From our family to yours, thank you for backing our vision and being part of such a huge milestone for us.
“We’re so excited for what’s ahead,” they ended.

The Lickd cafe sits to the side of the car wash, and is perfectly positioned for those wanting to explore their extensive menu after a good clean. Decked out in purple accents, Soak’s signature colour, it’s not to be missed from the main thoroughfare that is Anzac Highway.
Indulgent drinks are a big part of the menu with options including Iced Chocolate, Vanilla Latte, Caramel Latte, Iced Biscoff Latte, Pistachio Papi Latte and Chocolate Sundae. The Matcha range includes Strawberry Matcha and Mango Matcha, and they also have a loaded tea range for those not wanting the caffeine hit. Alongside drinks the venue also offers cake in a can, loaded cookies, cakes and more.
Tom shared this wouldn’t be the first Soaked and Lickd collab that Adeladie will see, with plans to expand the Soaked business throughout Australia.
The Keswick car wash and cafe and cafe is now open daily, for those wanting to clean and refuel at the same time.
