Virgin Australia has announced a party-filled “Pride Flight” ahead of Sydney’s 2023 WorldPride event and you can WIN your own boarding pass!
The airline is adding a maiden service from Adelaide to Sydney for the first time and Fresh927 is giving away tickets.
Adelaideans can win their own boarding pass by listening out for the cue to call on Fresh927 which departs on the 24th of February 2023.
The hugely popular Pride Flight services already fly out of Brisbane, Melbourne and now Adelaide and Perth are being added to the list for the first time.
Guests will be invited to a pre-flight departure party, featuring bottomless beverages and DJ entertainment, before making the trip to WorldPride in Sydney.
Once in the air, guests will enjoy mid-air drag performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Understars Coco Jumbo, Karen from Finance, Kween Kong, and Maxi Shield, alongside some of Australia’s leading drag talent including Barbie Q, Penny Tration, Sexy Galexy and Tora Hymen.
Upon landing, guests will shimmy their way to the official Pride Flight Landing Party at The Beresford, with complimentary drinks – an inclusion in the Pride Flight ticket price.
WorldPride is a global not-for-profit festival, organised by international organisation, InterPride. Sydney was chosen to host WorldPride in 2023, marking the first time a city in the southern hemisphere has been chosen.
In recognition of the event’s global nature, Virgin Australia has partnered with United Airlines to host its first ever Pride Flight from San Francisco to Sydney, departing Wednesday 22 February 2023.
