The Coffee House Ardrossan is a must-visit on your next Yorke Peninsula road trip. Nestled amongst the quaint streets of the seaside country town is the charming espresso bar, situated in the bones of a cosy renovated home.

With a range of delicious homemade slices, cakes, and sandwiches, as well as a selection of salads on offer, breakfast is looking good.

And, of course, there’s a range of tasty caffeinated brews available. If coffee isn’t your thing, then you don’t have to miss out – there’s a wide range of teas and juices ready to go, too.

Owner and Founder Sarah Rawlings has been operating the business since 2015 and says her business continues to flourish.

“We opened 6 years ago and the original idea was to have a cafe with great coffee, toasted sandwiches and muffins,” said Sarah.

” We took on our first employee six months after opening and after months of building and growing the business we added a full menu of breakfasts and lunches two years later, in our third year we became a 7-day cafe.”

Six years on and Sarah now employees five people from the local area plus her 17-year old daughter Tammie.

The dynamic duo of Sarah and Tammie are often commended for their seamless teamwork and for Tammies unquestionable ability to whip up the smoothest caffeinated blend.

During the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown Sarah made the difficult decision to close the business to renovate.

“We closed for the six weeks as there was no need to encourage people to come out so during that time so we decided to renovate and completely overhauled the entire business with more focus on the food and maintaining quality coffee.”

Since re-opening, The Coffee House has once again grown in popularity, alongside the newest menu addition – The Loaded Smashed Avo – with the brunch classic proving to be a hit.

“The Loaded Smashed Avo is my favourite menu item, we had our busiest day ever last Sunday and the avo was a hit.”

The Coffee House is a cosy comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a catch up with a friend or two.

Stop by and enjoy a barista-made coffee whilst eating one of their homemade delicious treats. A perfect place to catch up with friends or have a bit of me-time. A place for the kids to play and keep them entertained whilst you chat the morning away.

The cafe has a large outdoor area to allow the kids to run around whilst you relax in the serenity of the relaxed coffee house.

What’s even better is that the outdoor seating is pet friendly so you can bring your, four-legged friends, along for a puppacino.

A full lunch menu is also available featuring seasonal meals including summer salads, wraps, burgers and more.

The cosy cafe is located steps from the ocean offering patrons the perfect opportunity to refuel ahead of a busy beach day.

This coastal town is home to many other attractions including a small yet sweet retail offering including Bella Yorke Boutique and J28, crabbing and the gateway to the Yorke Peninsula.

Ardrossan offers a lookout providing a scenic, birds-eye view over the Yorke Peninsula, making it the perfect place to start your trip.
