Designed to mark the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of South Australia’s 175th anniversary, ‘Birthday Sunday’ will include birthday-themed activities, birthday cake, an extraspectacular fireworks display and free animal masks and Blinky Bill showbags for the kids.

Show-goers who have attended during the first nine days of the Show, including today (Friday) and Saturday, while at the Show are entitled to buy a return ticket for Sunday, September 14, for only $10. This is a return ticket only and $10 entry tickets will not be available for purchase at the gates on Sunday.

Royal Adelaide Show general manager Michelle Hocking said ‘Birthday Sunday’ would be a fitting way to close the Society’s 175th celebrations.

“There will be lots of special activities, entertainment and giveaways throughout the day, Speedway Royale and Demolition Derby will return to the Main Arena for the first time in nearly 20 years and the fireworks display will be the biggest showgoers have ever seen,” she said.

Traditionally the Royal Adelaide Show runs for nine days, starting on the first Friday in September and ending on the second Saturday. However, the 2014 Royal Show will run for ten days, meaning show-goers will have two full weekends to enjoy the event.
