South Australia is celebrating another incredible win with a Wallaroo couple revealing they “screamed the house down” after discovering they’d pocketed more than $880,000 in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.
The Yorke Peninsula pair held one of seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4631, drawn Saturday 6 December 2025, with each winner set to take home $888,814.08. Because their ticket wasn’t registered to The Lott Members Club, officials had no way of alerting them and instead waited for the unsuspecting winners to check their ticket and come forward.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you! It’s very epic,” the winning husband said, still processing the life-changing moment.
“I was at home next to my wife when we checked the ticket. She just got up and started screaming like crazy!
“It’s great timing, and it’ll make for a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
“I think once it’s in our bank account, it’ll feel more real. Then we can go out and celebrate!
“I play every week, so it was a real surprise.
“Now we’ll just have a good think about what we will do. Thank you so much.”
Their ticket was purchased from Wallaroo Newsagency on Owen Terrace, where excitement has been running high since the win was confirmed.
Wallaroo Newsagency owner Kerrie Smith said the whole community was buzzing.
“How fantastic! What an exciting week. We’ll be spreading the good news to everyone,” she said.
“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was around seven years ago, so we’re thrilled another one has come.
“Congratulations and Merry Christmas to our winner. What a way to end the year and start 2026!”
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4631 were 17, 42, 5, 10, 33 and 45, with supplementary numbers 31 and 44.
Right across Australia, seven division one entries were recorded in the draw — three in Victoria, two in New South Wales, and one each in Queensland and South Australia. The win adds to South Australia’s strong run, with the Lott’s division one tally now sitting at 405 so far in 2025, including 34 wins by SA Lotteries customers.
Saturday X Lotto continues to be a major maker of millionaires. In FY25 alone, 165 Australians became millionaires through the game, with 341 division one entries collectively claiming more than $420 million.
