Penny Drop is pleased to announce the National support acts for the forthcoming Wavves 2012 tour, set to kick off in Brisbane on May 8th, before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, and finally winding up in Perth on Friday May 18th.
The national support slot for all shows will be Sydney based lo-fi surf pop duo Sures. Winners of the triple j Sydney Laneway competition and also recently Unearthed, in there short existence Sures have released two killer singles to date – ‘The Sun’, and the current radio favourite ‘Poseidon’.
Hailing from Adelaide, local openers Bad Dreems mix downcast lyrics with glistening guitar pop on their debut single ‘Chills’ and its equally impressive B side “Close To God”. And finally rounding out the tour dates, Sonpsilo Circus will kick off the show in Perth, performing songs from their recently released self-titled debut ep, which has received both strong airplay and excellent reviews across the country.
