As cold winter June creeps up for the end of financial year, we all want something warm and filling in our tummies. While some categorise barbecues under the summer umbrella, we think they are dead wrong; Winter is the perfect time to enjoy hot, char-grilled meats, veggies, and slow-cooked deliciousness.
Luckily for us and all those who agree, the Weber Grill Academy is available for end of financial year parties, so as we close the year’s books, we can also cook up a storm––or eat delicious meals that have been cooked up for us!
Established in Adelaide in 2020, the Weber Grill Academy hosts an array of barbecue classes, immersive barbecue experiences and fully catered events in their gorgeous Rose Park venue. The spacious third-floor venue has a large indoor area as well as an outdoor balcony overlooking the eastern parklands and Adelaide’s CBD. You and your colleagues can take in the views while eating delicious grilled meals.
There’s seated service or more casual, standing network-style events and canapés available, all off the Weber grill, of course.
If you’re afraid the deck will get too chilly for a winter event, think again! Weber Grill Academy has us covered on that front as well.
“Because we have a weather-proof deck and heating, the weather doesn’t play too much of a factor,” says Jacinda Gregg, Weber Grill Academy’s Assistant Manager.
Whether you want a hands-on experience learning to grill up a feast or would rather just enjoy the food, the academy can customise your event to suit. The cooking academy accommodates all office sizes as well; You can attend a cooking class with a small group of colleagues or have delicious, barbecued meals catered for up to 150 people.
More than 5,000 South Australians have already visited the venue, and the Great State Voucher is seeing even more visitors at the Grill Academy for consumer classes. Events have been receiving rave reviews from the interstate visitors, with a recent national events manager saying that her group had a “fantastic evening.”
“Based on the feedback I received from the group, I do believe this to be the favourite part of the whole Adelaide trip!
They couldn’t stop raving about it,” the customer says.
“It was a terrific money-can’t-buy experience with the perfect amount of prepping, cooking, learning, and socialising and drinking. It was also such a great ice breaker and interactive event for everyone to get to know each other in such a relaxed environment.”
Globally, Weber has more than 100 Grill Academies in almost 70 countries – with the Adelaide venue being the first in Australia. They offer a range of courses from vegetarian barbecues to Weber Q favourites, learning how to smoke and roast chicken and vegetables. It’s sure to be a fun activity for your office show, and they can accommodate any dietary requirements.
