Weekly unlimited seafood evenings return this November

The InterContinental will welcome back its seafood dinners every Thursday with an extensive menu, live chef’s stations, live music and plenty of wine.

InterContinental Adelaide is kicking off the summer season with the return of their legendary Seafood Extravaganza!

Starting November 4, the iconic Adelaide hotel will welcome back its well-known seafood dinner every Thursday at Riverside Restaurant with an extensive menu, live chef’s stations, live music and plenty of wine.

For $159, the events are specially designed to cure your summer seafood cravings. On arrival, you will be treated with a bottle of wine to share between two, as well as an indulgent platter of seafood on ice, with lobster, Spencer Gulf king prawns, and oysters.

Each event also features a live oyster shucking station, a sashimi station, and a hot seafood station and an extensive selection of delectable sushi. There will be an abundant range of other seafood favourites like salt and pepper squid, grilled barramundi with red curry, and seared scallops. Enticing desserts will also be served as a sweet ending to the seafood feast.

The good vibes will be backed up by live music from The Beach Bums, that will transport you to your coastal paradise.

Each Seafood Extravaganza will feature an exclusive seafood special at each Thursday event. We have a sneak peek of what’s coming in November:

  • 4 November: 5th Floor Gin cured salmon blini live carving station
  • 11 November: South Australian Spencer Gulf mussels and noodles
  • 18 November: Seafood tacos live station, featuring flathead and lobster
  • 25 November: Softshell crab and battered fish bao buns live station

The return of the Seafood Extravaganza marks an important year for InterContinental Adelaide as the inner-city hotel announced a $32 million refurbishment earlier this year.

Scheduled to be completed in early 2023, the project will involve a redesign of all 367 rooms and suites. It will also include a refresh of Riverside Restaurant and The Atrium Lounge, enhancements to the hotel’s award-winning Shiki Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, and a new Club InterContinental Lounge space.

It comes as the iconic InterContinental Adelaide brand are soon to celebrate the 75th anniversary.

InterContinental Adelaide’s Seafood Extravaganzas will take place every Thursday from 6.30pm, between 4 November 2021 and 13 January 2022. At only $159 per person, they’re sure to sell out soon, so book fast!
