There really is nothing better than finding gorgeous coffee spots with stunning ocean views. And on this Wednesday morning, we have found just that. Complete with tasty food and paddle board hire options, this cafe is the ultimate ‘beach break’ (and fittingly called so).
Located in the Henley sailing club building and right next to an amazing playground with a flying fox, Beach Break Café is the perfect spot to head for relaxing coffee dates, brunch dates, and play dates. Yes, that’s right, we did combine the words ‘relaxing’ and ‘play date.’ With many exciting options for the kiddies on the menu as well as the aforementioned park, we think this is the spot where parents go to survive play dates.
Owners Alex and Tom have created a menu filled with simple, tasty food. Hailing from the Netherlands, Alex says the food is a nod to her previous experience in restaurants in Europe. A range of dutch pancakes, Italian Panini, French farmers omelettes and homemade apple pies are all on offer. It really is a taste of Europe served at our own beaches. Oh and everything is homemade, organic and made with locally sourced ingredients. Delicious!
If you’re looking for something to do after a relaxing coffee date, may we suggest paddle boarding your way out into the ocean? For $20/hr you can hire out a paddle board and spend your morning or afternoon out on the waves. What a great idea for these hot days ahead.
Sunshine ice blocks are available for the kiddies as well as a delicious treat called ‘Kids Surprise.’ Think sprinkles, marshmallows, grapes and dutch pancakes each on their own dish for the kids to create their own masterpieces. We think this is genius (and a great way to buy a few minutes of peace).
So whether you’re looking for the perfect play-date home, or a lovely place to have your morning coffee and breakie by the beach, we think this may just be it. Be sure to stop on by!
