Here’s cheers to a third edition of Westfest, which will bring together three of Adelaide’s core west-side breweries.
This October, Bowden Brewing, Big Shed Brewing and Shapeshifter Brewing Co will showcase some of the best brews Adelaide has to offer across three venues.
Bowden Brewing was born when the team, daydreaming from desk jobs, were constantly living with their heads in the clouds. Brewing was always their weekly escape, a creative outlet, a passionate hobby, and even a side hustle as they tried to live two lives. But now they’re diving in head-first to make this more than a dream.
Big Shed Brewing describes themselves as ‘Delicious. Fun. Local.’ Created by Craig and Jason, who love brewing as much as they love drinking, with 20 years experience in both, Big Shed started from humble beginnings, cracking their first fruity keg in Jason’s old farmers shed, and are now located in a large warehouse-style facility.
Shapeshifter Brewing Co focuses on fresh, modern beers which brewed in small batches to ensure you drink it at its best. Their brewery and taproom in Findon, Adelaide has 12 rotating taps of beer and their brews range from IPAs, Red Ale and Hard Lemonade to Pales and Lagers.
With more than 50 beers to try across three venues, plus an official Westfest collab brew and new beer launching at every venue, there will be something to suit lovers of all beers at this beer bonanza- or you might even find a new favourite.
There will be plenty of food to keep you going, including Big Shed Kitchen running their all-time classics, Shapeshifter hosting Moi An Viet Street Food and Bowden Brewing’s MASA Mexican kitchen, along with Plant 3 neighbours Caro Club, Shirni Sweets and Little Banksia Tree.
Live music will be playing all day long – stay tuned for the set lists – plus free silent disco loop busses will run from 1pm until 7pm.

Entry is free for everyone, so just rock up with your mates, put your dancing shoes on, and get ready for an event ‘lager’ than life- otherwise, you’ll wish you were ‘beer.’ (Sorry guys.)
