Cue the nostalgia, because Westlife are officially making their long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand, with Adelaide locked in for a massive arena show as part of the group’s Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour.
The global pop superstars will hit the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday, July 18th, 2027, marking the band’s first Australian tour in 20 years and celebrating an incredible 25 years of chart-topping hits, sold-out tours and boyband-era ballads that still know how to hit right in the feels.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour will see Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily perform a huge catalogue of fan favourites, including “Flying Without Wings,” “Uptown Girl,” and “You Raise Me Up,” alongside brand new material from their freshly released album, 25 – The Ultimate Collection.
The anniversary album celebrates the group’s extraordinary career with 21 iconic tracks plus new recordings from all four members.
“We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we last toured in Australia and New Zealand, so it only felt right that we should come back and celebrate our 25th Anniversary together,” said the band. “We have always loved coming back to this part of the world as the fans have always made our trips so memorable and special – you have the loudest fans in the world! The 25th Anniversary show will be our most exciting and ambitious to date and of course, we will be performing all of the hits. Australia and New Zealand – we cannot wait to see you!”
Since forming in 1998, Westlife have become one of the biggest-selling pop acts in the world, with more than 55 million records sold, 14 UK number-one singles and over 6 million concert tickets sold globally.
The group’s 2019 reunion sparked another wave of international success, with the Wild Dreams tour alone selling more than 1.2 million tickets across the globe.
Adelaide fans will be one of the first Australian crowds to see the anniversary production, with the tour kicking off in Perth before heading east across the country and into New Zealand.
Tickets are expected to move quickly, especially with the band’s fanbase already gearing up for the return.
Mastercard holders will have access to a presale from Tuesday, May 12th at 12pm local time until Thursday, May 14th at 12pm local time, while the Live Nation presale begins Thursday, May 14th at 1pm local time.
General public tickets go on sale Friday May 15 at 2pm local time.
