We’ve found a $45, 4-course set menu (valued at $80) at the Grill Winter Food Festival

If you’ve ever wanted to check out the iconic Red Ochre Barrel + Grill restaurant, situated overlooking the Torrens, and Adelaide’s beautiful skyline, here is your chance.

Red Ochre is hosting an exciting winter food festival with an incredible menu offer, that will give you the perfect reason to book your next meal there.

From now until August 31st, you can enjoy an $80, 4-course menu for only $45 per person on Thursday or Friday, or $50pp on Saturdays.

When you step into the warmth of the Red Ochre dining room you will be greeted with incredible views before taking your seat and preparing for a delicious four-course culinary journey prepared by passionate owner and executive chef Ray Mauger. Let Mauger show you the best of what Adelaide has to offer with seasonal South Australian and Indigenous produce on display throughout his modern Australian menu. 

To start you will be served warm house made mountain pepper leaf focaccia with butter and smoked salt, followed by a tantalising share platter of pork belly, salmon, and roast pumpkin.

For your main course you will have to make the tough call between five mouth-watering options. Will you go for the pan roasted barramundi with roast cauliflower salad, the char-grilled kangaroo with beetroot relish, sweet potato, braised lentils and native currant jus, the gnocchi with mushroom, tomato, spinach, parmesan, and pesto, the herb crusted chicken with spinach, warrigal, mustard and corn, or the slow braised beef cheek with eucalyptus smoked mash, baby carrots and kale?

Once you’ve made your way through your choice of main course you can finish your night with a decedent chocolate dipped choux bun with wattle seed cream. 

Situated on the edge of the North Adelaide Golf Course along with its sibling restaurant River Cafe, and boasting incredible views, Red Ochre Barrel + Grill is the perfect spot to spend those chilly winter nights. Aside from their Winter Food Festival they also offer delicious Aussie eats all year-round with options like fried crocodile and fish cakes, emu carpaccio, and grain fed sirloin on the menu.
