Asian fusion restaurant Sunny’s Shop on Prospect Road is now serving up $1 dumplings during lunchtime from their Rosemont Hall dining space. From Monday to Friday between 11:30am and 3pm, diners can enjoy delicious Sunny’s dumplings for a dollar apiece.
Whether it’s the prawn dumplings with red curry sauce, the pan-fried chicken and chive dumplings, or the steamed vegetarian dumplings with chilli vinegar and ginger, a serving of four dumplings at Sunny’s Shop have, up until now, cost between $15.50 and $16.50.
But with this new deal, those prices have been sliced in half, then sliced in half again, providing delectable bites at a fraction of the original expense.

Rosemont Hall, the home of Sunny’s Shop and Mr. Chan, has experienced an incredible resurgence since the devastating fire in 2021 that reduced the popular venue to rubble and ash. Back in January 2024, we spoke to co-owner Aaron, who vividly recalled the night of the fire.
“I got a phone notification that something had triggered my alarm at the shop so I checked my cameras and they were all blank. So I knew something wasn’t right. I opened my back door and saw smoke billowing through Rosemont Hall’s roof.”
“I then ran up, bare feet, to the shop in my PJ’s and opened the back door to go in and try to contain it but the heat from the back was already so intense it just overwhelmed me.”
The dining location he had spent four years building with his co-owner Tamara had “literally gone up in smoke”, but, fuelled by community support, the team worked diligently to restore the venue to its former glory.
It required an enormous undertaking, and a painstaking journey to source original materials, but Rosemont Hall was reopened last January, and has since been buzzing with the familiar sights, smells and sounds of the beloved location.
Now, adding $1 dumplings to their already exquisite range of offerings, Sunny’s Shop is sure to experience yet another surge of hungry customers.
