This winter, Mount Lofty House in the Adelaide Hills is offering an exclusive getaway package, transforming the historic estate into a cozy retreat complete with crackling fires, gourmet roasts, and relaxing spa treatments.

Starting from June 1st through August 31st, the Winter Warmer package is priced at $499 per night, with a minimum two-night stay.

Guests who book this package will receive a $300 credit to use on-site, whether for dining at Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant, known for its exquisite menu and scenic views, or for indulgent treatments at the Gatekeeper’s Day Spa.

Upon arrival, you’re welcomed with a signature drink and a plate of Mount Lofty House cookies, setting the tone for a stay filled with comfort and luxury.

The Winter Warmer package also includes daily a la carte breakfast overlooking the stunning Piccadilly Valley, a historical book about Mount Lofty House, and a daily house welcome tour that includes a seasonal signature drink. For those looking to unwind, morning yoga and meditation sessions are available for those brisk mornings!

While you’re there, the Arthur Waterhouse Lounge has been redesigned into ‘Après Lofty’, mimicking the cozy atmosphere of a ski chalet. Here, you can enjoy classic winter drinks like mulled wine and hot toddies, play chess by the fire, or even roast marshmallows on outdoor fire pits, embracing the winter chill.

And to top it all off, the Gatekeeper’s Day Spa has introduced new saunas, a hot tub, and an ice bath, within the tranquil gardens of the estate. Personally, I’d be heading straight to the sauna, but hey – if an ice bath takes your fancy, go for it!

And, of course, what’s a winter getaway without a roast dinner with all the trimmings? Every weekend in July, you’ll be able to indulge in a variety of roast meets, including 17-hour braised lamb shoulder, lemon and herb infused roast chicken, and a mushroom and caramelised onion Pithivier for vegetarians.

Each main course is served with a selection of seasonal vegetables and decadent desserts, such as miso spiced pumpkin pie or an apple and thyme tarte tatin.

So there you have it. You can’t get much cosier than that! For an unforgettable winter experience, book here.
