What Do You Think Of The New Adelaide Fringe Poster?

The 2016 Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition winner has been revealed this morning at an unveiling ceremony in Rundle Mall.

The 2016 Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition winner has been revealed this morning at an unveiling ceremony in Rundle Mall. Themed ‘Walk on the Wild Side’, the winning design will be incorporated into the official branding and marketing material for the 2016 Adelaide Fringe, exposing the lucky winner’s design to an audience of almost 2 million.

The eye-catching, winning entry was created by South Australian graphic designer Stephanie Mitchell. Featuring a psychedelic Fringe Kaleidoscope, with mind altering patterns and movements, Stephanie said “I tried to represent all the interesting, colourful people who come from all over the world to our city once a year for a month of wild festivities.”

Stephanie was “over the moon” that her design had been chosen from a record 500 entries.

Adelaide Fringe Poster 2016As the winner, Stephanie will receive a $2,000 cash prize and complimentary registration for the 2016 Adelaide Fringe if she would like to stage an exhibition of her work.

Adelaide Fringe Artistic Director & CEO Heather Croall and the panel of judges were looking for ambitious designs that were outside the square and showed exceptional creative flair.

The Adelaide Fringe poster sets the tone for the overall feel of the Fringe the 2016 winning entry certainly reflects the mind-blowing month of fun and electric atmosphere that the Fringe delivers each year.
