Here at Austin Bloom, weddings are the most exciting events for us to be apart of. We love the excitement and the enthusiasm of the brides as they come and meet with us to discuss their creative briefs and share their amazing ideas. However, sometimes a bride’s eagerness can get in the way of their vision. Here are some things that you should consider before booking in that initial bridal consultation.
What is your style?
Whether you are a gypsy goddess or prefer the clean look of crisp whites, it is important to figure out the overall style of your wedding before you meet your florist. We suggest having a look at Pinterest to get some ideas of your bridal style. Check out the Austin Bloom pinterest board: http://pin.it/uA9jmOM for some wedding day inspo.
Is it in season?
Don’t be disappointed if your dream of the perfect peony wedding is not feasible (importing them can break the bank). Do a bit of research as to which flowers will be blooming on your wedding date. Your florist will be also able to direct you to a flower that will be be more financially friendly and still make your vision come alive!
Have a chat to your function manager about your table dimensions. It will help us figure out how many table arrangements you will need and how big and bold we can make them. A general rule of thumb is one arrangement to every 4-5 people.
