What’s On For New Year’s Eve at the Bay

The City of Holdfast Bay’s New Year’s Eve celebrations today are expected to attract more than 80,000 people to the beaches at Glenelg and Brighton.

There will be free entertainment and fireworks, with Australian rock band Regurgitator headlining the party at Glenelg beach to celebrate the start of a new decade.

The night’s free entertainment starts at 6pm in Glenelg, with the first of the fireworks displays at 9.30pm at both Glenelg and Brighton beaches. At midnight, the night sky will be lit up again with a second fireworks display off Glenelg beach.

The RAA Park and Ride will offer free shuttle bus service between Harbour Town and Glenelg for New Year’s Eve. Park for free in Harbour Town with shuttle buses running to and from Wigley Reserve, Adelphi Terrace in Glenelg between 5pm and 1am.

The Vinnies SA Bushfire Appeal will be promoted at New Year’s Eve at the Bay, with visitors encouraged to make a donation to support those affected by the bushfires – www.vinnies.org.au/SABushfireAppeal.
