What’s On

Thursday April 1

Erin & Soda Fun Fair

This Mix 102.3 event will feature a range of children’s rides, thrill rides, show bags, sideshows and food trucks. Erin and Soda’s Easter Fun Fair is the place for the whole family. Numbers are limited, so once tickets are gone, that’s it.

Friday April 2

Easter Coastal Bunny Run

Get your adrenaline pumping down in Semaphore this long weekend at the Easter Coastal Bunny Run. Kicking off on Good Friday, the run is between 10km and 42.2km in distance (depending on the distance you nominate). Those who would like to take part are required to register choosing whether they wish to take part on one day or all three of the 3-day event. Participants are even encouraged to get in on the Easter spirit by dressing in the bunny theme. Trophies will be handed out to some of the participants and a portion of the events proceeds will go towards Bravehearts and the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.

Heaps Good Friday, Barossa

To kick the long weekend off, Ember Pizza in Nuriootpa Barossa are planning an event that just screams “I’m on HOLIDAYS”. They are hosting a “Heaps Good Friday” event at Ember along with the Barossa Distilling Company next door. Set up on the lawns alongside firepits, and enjoy the festival-style picnic event, which will be accompanied by some great live music, with activities to keep the kids entertained. Live entertainment is happening from 3pm-10pm and kids activities are from 3pm-6pm! Bookings are essential.

The Warradale Hotel’s Heaps Good Friday

With some incredible specials all weekend long, the Warradale Hotel is the place to be this Easter long weekend. Hit up the Warradale Hotel with your mates for their Heaps Good Friday event and enjoy 2 for 1 Heinekens and other drink specials as well as some killer tunes from DJs Matt Sammut, Class of 86 and DJ Page. The event kicks off at 11:30 am and finishes around 10:30 pm.

Saturday April 3

Vale Polo Classic

Get dressed to the nines and head on down to McLaren Vale this Easter Saturday for the Vale Polo Classic. Designed to showcase South Australia’s incredible hospitality and the Fleurieu’s unique food and wine offerings, this major event will have the exhilarating sport of polo as its central drawcard. With several high-quality food carts including Pizzateca and Coriole; a private bar that features a Grey Goose Vodka lounge and as well as the Pirate Life South Coast precinct, live entertainment and plenty of amusement for the kids, the Vale Polo Classic is a day of optimum indulgence. The Vale Polo Classic will be held at McLaren Vale Oval, which is located at Park Drive, McLaren Vale.

Oakbank Races

The Oakbank Racing Club Carnival is on the 28th March, 31st of March and April 3rd, see here for more details and to purchase tickets.

Sunday April 4

Veuve Clicquot Wine & Good Times Party, Roxies

Spend Easter Sunday at a special instalment of Wines & Good Times, set amongst the lush surrounds of Roxies. Indulge in all of your favourite things like great food, amazing wines and sensational music + there’s even a specialised Vueve Cliquot Bar for all you champagne lovers! All your favourite DJs will be providing the House  & Disco tunes and good vibes from 5pm. Gather up your crew, and let the good times roll.

High Tea with the Easter Bunny at Glanville Hall

Indulge in an abundance of sweets at Glanville Hall’s High Tea with the Easter Bunny. At the event, attendees can explore Glanville Hall’s gorgeous grounds, tour the enchanting castle, indulge in some delicious food, partake in some family-friendly activities and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Tickets for the event are $45 per person and can be purchased here. The event will run from 10:30 am til 12:30 pm.

Brewboys

Serving up their own extensive range of refreshing ales in all kinds of delicious flavours, Brewboys is a great spot to quench your thirst over the Easter long weekend. With a taproom that includes a range of arcade games, Brewboys is fun for the whole family. There is even an outdoor beer garden where you can dig into some crispy fried food prepared by chicken connoisseurs Nugg Lyf.

Biggies Bagels

Don’t let the long weekend deprive you of your bagel fix. Bringing New York bagels to Adelaide. With everything from the classic smoked salmon bagel to a pizza bagel, this business which is situated inside Nugg Lyfe’s Daw Park location has bagels with every topping and filling imaginable.

The Bridgewater Mill

Celebrate the Easter long-weekend by going for a scenic drive and hitting up The Bridgewater Mill. With delicious coffee and mouthwatering brunch options to boot, use the long-weekend to tick this Hutt Street-based business off of your breakfast bucket list. A local haunt for CBD locals and workers, Coffylosophy offers everything from your go-to avo on toast to several modern takes on the traditional eggs benedict.

Daughter in Law

Adelaide’s hottest new restaurant has been flourishing in Rundle Street following acclaim in New York, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Sydney. Award-winning chef and restaurateur Jessi Singh opened Daughter in Law with naan-style pizza and ‘help yourself’ beer and wine fridges.

Daughter in Law is open all four days this Easter long weekend. Find it at 290 Rundle Street.

The Duck Inn

Nestled in the scenic Coromandel Valley, The Duck Inn provides you with the opportunity to indulge on a mouthwatering Aussie pub feed. Headed up by Chef Paul Twigg, The Duck’s menu features tapas for sharing, traditional pub classics, restaurant quality meals and a range of dishes including their namesake, duck.

German Arms Hotel

The Haus

One of SA’s oldest pubs, this award-winning restaurant is worth exploring on your extended-weekend. Offering pub food with a modern twist and an extensive drinks range, The Haus is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Locavore

Get in touch with your inner wine connoisseur this Easter long weekend by paying a visit to Stirling’s Lovacore Restaurant and Wine Bar. Surrounded by sprawling greenery, this family-run business lives by the principles of the 100 mile diet. Wherever possible all produce is sourced within a 160km radius. If it is not possible for these principles to be followed, the produce is family-farmed organically.

The Maid Hotel

With cheap drinks (including $5 Pints Pale and Boags Draught and $3.50 House Wines) and dining all day, The Maid has everything you desire in an Aussie pub. Watch the Crows take on the Gold Coast Suns in their Good Friday class and indulge in some good pub grub in the process.

With locations all around Adelaide including, Daw Park, Morphett Vale, Golden Grove and Brewboys Brewery in Croydon Park, you can get your chicken fix at Nugg Lyf all Easter long weekend.

Miss Perez Kitchen & Bar 

Open from 10 am til 4 pm, use this Easter long weekend to enjoy some day drinking by indulging on a few cheeky cocktails at Miss Perez Kitchen & Bar. Situated in Stirling, Miss Perez offers a large selection of beverages, tapas and mouthwatering desserts.

Oak & Iron

With a casual laid back dining experience, Oak & Iron is an ideal spot for some quality family time on the Easter long weekend. Based in Mount Barker, Oak & Iron’s menu consists of contemporary Australian food made from locally sourced produce.

Penfolds Magill Estate

Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, use the Easter long weekend as a chance to indulge in some iconic SA wine at the Penfolds Magill Estate. Enjoy sprawling vineyard views and pair your wine with some mouthwatering food at Penfolds’ award-winning on-site restaurant.

The Rosey

A more sophisticated sports bar, venture to Adelaide’s CBD to enjoy some cold beers and spirits or a classic pub feed at The Rosey. With an extensive list of scnittys and burgers on the menu, The Rosey will satisy any carb lover. You can even top up your own wine supply at their bottle shop on your way out.

Rosenvale Vineyard

Dusting off the bottles from the museum cellar, Rosenvale Vineyards every weekend through March and the Easter Long weekend will have some of their finest back vintage wines available for tasting and purchase. These limited wines are absolutely stunning! Ranging from 10 to 20 year old Semillons, Cabernet and Shiraz, this release at the state of the art cellar door is for a celebration of 20 years of winemaking in the Barossa on top of the 5 generations of Barossa farming. The wines are delicious, complex and are retaining freshness on the palate that demonstrated the true reward of cellaring these exclusive estate grown, small batch Rosenvale wines.

TGI Fridays Tea Tree Plaza

America’s most iconic bar and grill specialising in all the foods you have come to know and love from the star spangled country has something for the whole family. Open all Easter long weekend, hit up TGI’s for their happy hour from 4 to 6 and indulge in some of their delicious cocktails. Easter Sunday & Monday

Paracombe Premium Perry

Award-winning cider producer Paracombe Premium Perry (pear cider) is open every day during the long weekend, from Friday through to Monday from 12pm to 4pm. They have a range of drinks and sourdough pizzas in their Shed Door location in Paracombe.

Bird Box Pizzeria & Tapas

Overlooking Adelaide’s centrally flat landscape, with sweeping views from the coast to the inner city, you’ll find Bird Box Pizzeria and Tapas. It’s the sibling restaurant to Windy Point – the contemporary Belair restaurant that’s been offering panoramic city views and modern Australian food in the foothills since 1982. The Uraidla Hotel

With rustic decor to match its rustic pub menu, a spacious outdoor area with stunning views of the beautiful rugged terrain and toasty open fireplaces, they don’t call the Uraidla Hotel one of SA’s best pubs for nothing.
