It’s time to make Easter plans! Hopefully you’ve already ordered your seafood and have that side of things under control, so you can focus on what you’re going to do with all that time off work. To make things easier for you, here’s a list of what’s open, and what’s on – so you can get planning!

Thursday April 1
This Mix 102.3 event will feature a range of children’s rides, thrill rides, show bags, sideshows and food trucks. Erin and Soda’s Easter Fun Fair is the place for the whole family. Numbers are limited, so once tickets are gone, that’s it.
Friday April 2
Get your adrenaline pumping down in Semaphore this long weekend at the Easter Coastal Bunny Run. Kicking off on Good Friday, the run is between 10km and 42.2km in distance (depending on the distance you nominate). Those who would like to take part are required to register choosing whether they wish to take part on one day or all three of the 3-day event. Participants are even encouraged to get in on the Easter spirit by dressing in the bunny theme. Trophies will be handed out to some of the participants and a portion of the events proceeds will go towards Bravehearts and the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
To kick the long weekend off, Ember Pizza in Nuriootpa Barossa are planning an event that just screams “I’m on HOLIDAYS”. They are hosting a “Heaps Good Friday” event at Ember along with the Barossa Distilling Company next door. Set up on the lawns alongside firepits, and enjoy the festival-style picnic event, which will be accompanied by some great live music, with activities to keep the kids entertained. Live entertainment is happening from 3pm-10pm and kids activities are from 3pm-6pm! Bookings are essential.
With some incredible specials all weekend long, the Warradale Hotel is the place to be this Easter long weekend. Hit up the Warradale Hotel with your mates for their Heaps Good Friday event and enjoy 2 for 1 Heinekens and other drink specials as well as some killer tunes from DJs Matt Sammut, Class of 86 and DJ Page. The event kicks off at 11:30 am and finishes around 10:30 pm.

Saturday April 3
Get dressed to the nines and head on down to McLaren Vale this Easter Saturday for the Vale Polo Classic. Designed to showcase South Australia’s incredible hospitality and the Fleurieu’s unique food and wine offerings, this major event will have the exhilarating sport of polo as its central drawcard. With several high-quality food carts including Pizzateca and Coriole; a private bar that features a Grey Goose Vodka lounge and as well as the Pirate Life South Coast precinct, live entertainment and plenty of amusement for the kids, the Vale Polo Classic is a day of optimum indulgence. Sunday April 4
Spend Easter Sunday at a special instalment of Wines & Good Times, set amongst the lush surrounds of Roxies. Indulge in all of your favourite things like great food, amazing wines and sensational music + there’s even a specialised Vueve Cliquot Bar for all you champagne lovers! All your favourite DJs will be providing the House & Disco tunes and good vibes from 5pm. Gather up your crew, and let the good times roll.
Indulge in an abundance of sweets at Glanville Hall’s High Tea with the Easter Bunny. At the event, attendees can explore Glanville Hall’s gorgeous grounds, tour the enchanting castle, indulge in some delicious food, partake in some family-friendly activities and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Tickets for the event are $45 per person and can be purchased here. The event will run from 10:30 am til 12:30 pm.

Serving up their own extensive range of refreshing ales in all kinds of delicious flavours, Brewboys is a great spot to quench your thirst over the Easter long weekend. With a taproom that includes a range of arcade games, Brewboys is fun for the whole family. Award-winning cider producer Paracombe Premium Perry (pear cider) is open every day during the long weekend, from Friday through to Monday from 12pm to 4pm. They have a range of drinks and sourdough pizzas in their Shed Door location in Paracombe.
