All Week

Adelaide Fashion Festival, 17-21 October

Highlighting Adelaide’s dynamic creative industries against a backdrop of the city’s vibrant venues and fashion precincts, the Adelaide Fashion Festival (AFF) is bold, original, progressive and inspired. The festival, held each October, showcases established and up-and-coming Adelaide designers as they present contemporary and relevant fashion and accessories alongside unique hair and makeup styling, local photography, music and South Australia’s iconic food and beverages.

Adelaide Film Festival, 10-21 October

Adelaide Film Festival is an eleven-day celebration and exploration of Australian and international screen culture with a unique program of screenings, forums and special events. The event has rapidly established itself as one of the boldest and most innovative in the country and has made a name for itself internationally as a platform for exciting new talent in the Australian industry. Originally presented biennially in March, since 2013 the Adelaide Film Festival has been presented in October. More information here

Mamma Mia! The Musical, 9 October – 18 November

The party of the year has arrived! Over 60 million people all around the globe have fallen in love with the story and the music that makes MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good musical. Winnovation Awards

The Winnovation Awards showcases and celebrates the successes of female innovators changing the game in South Australia. These Awards also recognise businesses who support our state’s innovative women.

SA Designer Showcase, Adelaide Fashion Festival

The SA Designer Showcase presented by Spendless Shoes will be an explosion of high impact, sleek and chic looks created by the state’s hottest talent. An exciting blend of styles and aesthetics, the SA Designer Showcase will include ready to wear pieces, activewear, underwear, swimwear, resort wear and accessories all in one runway.

Couture Culture, Adelaide Fashion Festival

A stunning display of couture bridal and evening gowns that will take your breath away, and breathe life into your dream wedding. One of the most popular events of the Adelaide Fashion Festival schedule, Couture Culture is a spectacular showcase of intricate beading, effortlessly draped designs and exquisite details.

Il Divo Timeless Tour

Il Divo are the world’s leading classical crossover quartet and have announced the Australian dates for their Timeless Tour 2018! They have performed in front of the world’s great and good – from President Barack Obama to Her Majesty the Queen. They have shared microphones with fellow superstars from Barbara Streisand to Celine Dion and their sell-out concerts have been attended by Hollywood icons including Tom Hanks and Robert De Niro.

Friday October 19

Vogue Festival Launch, Adelaide Fashion Festival

Join Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann to launch VogueFestival 2018 with a bang. Then, spend some time exploring Rundle Mall and Rundle Street, and discover special offers, gifts and prizes at your favourite city retailers.

Sneaker Lab By Spendless, Vogue Festival

Grayhound Adoption Program 21st Birthday

The Greyhound Adoption Program SA (GAP SA) is celebrating a birthday milestone this Saturday October 20th with greyhounds and their owners, for a massive birthday celebration! Not only will guests be enjoying the festivities of the party, greyhounds will also be available for adoption or fostering. The birthday party held at Angle Park, will celebrate with fun family activities including bouncy castles and face painting for the kids, and for the fur-kids – there will be stalls selling doggy treats, a dog masseuse and of course greyhounds available to adopt or foster. AFF18 x Gilles At The Grounds

The AFF18 edit of the Gilles At The Grounds will be presenting collections from South Australian emerging designers, vintage sellers and on trend fashion houses. There’ll be over 100 creatives, all under one roof at the Adelaide Showgrounds, Wayville.

Wednesday October 24 – 26

Flashlight Nights in Oaklands Mansion

Want to explore Murfreesboro’s most mysterious mansion and experience some of the unusual mourning customs and creepy superstitions of the Victorian era at Oaklands Mansion? As you explore the dark corners and dimly lit parlors, you will find unusual and curious items. Langhorne Creek on Leigh Street

Another laneway party to keep and eye on, featuring wines from Langhorne Creek (alongside the winemakers) with good tunes and friendly vibes. 100 wines available to purchase by glass or bottle. $5 entry gives you a souvenir glass to take home!
