What’s On This Weekend In Adelaide

May is coming to an end but the fun is not! Chardonnay May, Frozen the Musical and more are all happening across SA this weekend!

May has been a busy month on the South Australian calendar and as the month comes to an end and Winter approaches, it’s not looking like it’s slowing down.

Chardonnay May has been in full swing across the Hills and there are plenty of things happening a bit closer to home as well.

Friday 27th May

Vinyl Night @ Glen Ewin Estate

Due to popular demand, the Glen Ewin Boogie Nights Vinyl Night is back! Enjoy delicious food, and all your favourite albums the way they were originally intended at Glen Ewin Estate! Tickets are $35 and include entry to the event and dinner and guests are encouraged to bring along their favourite record to play and boogie along to!

Hutt Street Pocket Party #2

ADL Unleashed is bringing cosy vibes to the corner of Hutt Street and Gilles Street for the second instalment of the Hutt Street Pocket Parties. Bask in the glory of the historic Arab Steed Hotel and enjoy live performances from some of Adelaide’s best acts, have a boogie under the moonlight, take home a special souvenir Caricature, and stay warm under the outdoor heaters and fires – all for free!

Anderson Hill 80s Party

Anderson Hill’s ultimate Chardonnay May event is celebrating all things of the era that saw Chardonnay boom onto the scene in SA – the 80s! Dress to impress in your best 80s gear (think shoulder pads, crimped hair and of course, fluoro everything) and dance the night away to all your favourite tunes from back in the day! Tickets are $55 and include a wine on arrival, food throughout the night (and the food is also 80s themed). Last year’s event was a sellout so don’t delay on this one!

Simon Tolley Long Lunch

Indulge in a delightful long lunch at the (basically) brand new cellar door at Simon Tolley in the Adelaide Hills as part of Chardonnay May. The lunch will be hosted by Simon himself who will be running though five vintages, each of them very different to the next and will be paired with carefully curated complimentary dishes, prepared by a local chef.

SANFL Women’s Grand Final

The North Adelaide Roosters will take on Sturt Double Blues in this year’s SANFL Women’s Grand Final. After taking out the reigning premiers, Glenelg, last weekend the Double Blues are looking good for the decider that will be played at at Coopers Stadium with the first bounce at 1.45pm.

Guy Sebastian

After winning the first season of Australian Idol way back in 2003, Guy Sebastian shot to fame and 19 years later, is showing no signs of slowing down. Catch The Voice judge in his live arena show at The Adelaide Entertainment Centre and be treated to a collection of Guy’s biggest smash hits including ‘Bloodstone’ and global hit ‘Battle Scars’, as well as brand new music from the number #1 T.R.U.T.H. album.

Frozen The Musical Launch

The hit Broadway show, Disney’s Frozen The Musical, is opening at the Adelaide Festival Centre this weekend! Kicking off on Thursday 26th, the show will be in town until the end of July so there is plenty of time to catch it.

Flame Festival 27th – 29th May

The Copper Coast’s newest event showcases all the best food, light, art, music and entertainment with local groups and artisans displaying a range of performances, cultural displays and workshops over three jam-packed days. A mixture of free and ticketed events are on offer and will be held across the towns of Kadina, Moonta & Wallaroo.
