Wicks Estate Celebrates Elegant New Look At Winter Reds Festival

And you can celebrate with them with a mouth-watering Yum Cha menu as well as an oyster bar and all the Wicks Estate wine you could ask for!

Wicks Estate’s premium, cool-climate wines from the Adelaide Hills have grown to be recognised as some of the finest the region has to offer. And now, they’re pleased to unveil an elegant new look for their Estate range that reflects the high calibre of the wine in the bottle.

Last year, two of Wicks Estate’s popular Estate Range enjoyed an early-reveal at the 2018 Adelaide Fashion Festival. The Wicks Estate Sparkling and Wicks Estate Rosé were both revealed to a fashion-savvy crowd who hailed the new look.

As winter rolls in, the new look is being extended to the red wines ready for the Winter Reds Festival this Sunday.

To celebrate the new releases, Wicks Estate are hosting their Inside The Winery experience, complete with a designer pop-up bar and music from The Happy Leonards.

Mingle among the tanks and barrels while enjoying the new-look range of wines accompanies by a diverse, mouth-watering Yum Cha menu from Adelaide’s award-winning Chinese restaurant, Concubine. And what’s more, there will be an oyster bar serving freshly shucked oysters two ways — natural and with an Asian style vinaigrette.

Another first for Wicks Estate is the inclusion of a fresh and vibrant experimental red blend named PST! A blend of Tempranillo, Shiraz and Pinot Noir — the result is a light, soft and flavoursome red wine that matches extremely well with food.

“We have been noticing the ongoing popularity of South Australian red blends such as GSM and we started to experiment and look at what new blends might suit the varietals of the cool climate Adelaide Hills,” says Wicks Estate Co-founder, Simon Wicks. “Tempranillo was an obvious choice being commonly blended with Grenache, so we looked at how it would work with our hero red varieties Pinot Noir and Shiraz and we’re extremely pleased with the result.”
