Win the ultimate 60 second all-you-can-grab toy store dash at the Big Rocking Horse

The Big Rocking Horse is hosting a unique raffle where the winner can enjoy the ultimate 60-second toy store dash.

Have you ever dreamed of being set loose in a toy store, running around and grabbing as many goodies as possible? Well, that dream is becoming a reality this December at the Big Rocking Horse, as it is giving away that very opportunity…

From November 1st until December 11th, you can win a once-in-a-lifetime shopping experience, where you get 60 seconds to grab whatever you can hold, and then keep it! From wooden toys to local goods and souvenirs, this is the ultimate prize just before Christmas.

Of course, display items, flatpacks, and the cash register are all excluded from the prize.

To have the chance to win, all you have to do is purchase a $10 raffle ticket either in the Big Rocking Horse’s gift shop or cafe. Then on December 11th, which happens to be Wal the Big Rocking Horse’s 43rd birthday, the winner will be drawn in a live video.

“You have to be in it to win it. If I were the winner I’d grab anything wooden, it will last forever!” says owner Mel.

After the winner is drawn, Mel shares that the winner will have until Christmas Eve to claim the prize, but must agree to be filmed during their 60-second dash.

“More than anything this is a way for us to give back to the community. They have really rallied behind us with all the unfortunate events that have happened this year, so if we could make one person really happy, that’s what means the most to us.”

This year has been a hard one for the Big Rocking Horse after storm damage threatened the permanent closure of the Big Rocking Horse’s cafe earlier this year.

Mel hopes the raffle will help raise funds to continue restorations.

“Our next big goal is to make the paths in the animal park wheelchair and walker-friendly. It’s a five-acre animal park so whether we concrete or pave, it’s going to cost a lot of money. We’d love to continue making the park as accessible for everyone, so that’s where any money raised will go.”

The Big Rocking Horse has become a South Australian icon since it was built in the 1980s. This is the perfect excuse to not only head to the Hills and check out the Big Rocking Horse but also to see the wildlife park, toy shop and cafe. And who knows, you might just win the ultimate shopping experience.
