It’s finally here! Adelaide’s very own Christmas In July. Alpine Winter Village officially opens tomorrow night, with the Adelaide Riverbank precinct’s transformation compete. You know that when the crew from Royal Croquet Club and Renewal SA pair up, it’s going to be good. But while the hullabaloo has all been about the incredible market stalls, the winemakers, the food and the atmosphere, and the fact that Adelaidians being outside in Winter is a thing now. it wouldn’t be Christmas in July without a skating rink. Plain and simple.
We’ve got word that Alpine Winter Village are set to install one this week, which means that there will be a spectacle to watch with a wine in hand, especially when it involves incredibly cute children learning about ice for the first time. Utterly adorable!
Glam have on offer 5 adult double passes to giveaway to try your luck at a 45 minute session on the Alpine Winter Village Ice Skating Rink, valid from July 8-31.
To win yourself a double pass, jump across and hit ‘like’ on the Glam Adelaide Facebook page. From there, all you need to do is comment on competition post the name of a friend who you would like to take with you to try and get around a rink with. Preferably without the aid of wine, though as we know it can be a performance enhancer.
The Village won’t just be for the evening time though, it open during the day and we love the idea of being able to strap on the skates during our lunch break to get out of the office! Skating sessions will run from 10am to 11pm daily. If you miss out on the competition, perhaps you’d like to buy some tickets instead? Those can be purchased (includes passes for the kiddies) here.
