NOLA is another one of the great venues around Adelaide doing their bit in raising funds for Bushfire relief in South Australia.
Tied in with the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown on the 25, NOLA has partnered with several SA breweries for the fundraiser.
Beginning when the countdown starts at 12pm, NOLA will be pouring 16 ‘Karma Kegs’ from various local breweries.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Karma Keg concept, in this case, it’s essentially a keg for which customers decide how much they want to pay for beer, with 100% of the sales donated to bushfire relief.
Josh Talbot, Nola co-owner, says, “The support from the brewing community has been amazing, they have all got their own fundraising efforts underway but were still more than willing to donate a keg to the cause.”
Funds will be split between Blaze Aid, The CFS Foundation and The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on Kangeroo Island.
NOLA will also be raffling off the incredible prize of free fried chicken for a year. Tickets are priced at $5 and again, the money raised will be donated to bushfire relief. Nola has a target of $10,000 and hopes to exceed this goal.
The event will start with the countdown at 12pm, and will continue until 2am.
Some of the breweries involved include Ministry of Beer, Pikes, Mismatch, Hills Cider, Western Ridge, Suburban Brew, Lobethal, Barossa Valley Brewing, Brewboys, Big Shed, Reckies, Smiling Samoyed, Prancing Pony, Little Bang, Uraidla and Beer Garden Brewing.
