On the back of recent outstanding James Halliday reviews and making his list of Best Sparkling Wines for 2012, Sinclair Gully have decided to splash the fizz. With their 94 point Methode Traditionale pinot chardonnay now having two years plus bottle age on lees before disgorging and their new Blanc de Blanc ready to go, fans of fine RD bubbles are in for a treat. With the roof raised on the Sparkling House the guys at Sinclair Gully are getting plenty of practice sabering bottles and don't need much of an excuse to share this Napoleonic tradition!
For chardonnay drinkers it's time to come out from hiding and proclaim our love for the wooded chardonnay. This style is back with a vengeance and as purists know, the Adelaide Hills has been producing some of the world best for a long time. With a couple of years bottle age the Sinclair Gully 2008 wooded chardonnay is all grown up now, displaying wonderful buttery vanilla character while retaining beautiful stone fruit.
