Pre-season snowfall to continue this weekend
Australian snow resort, Thredbo, has recorded its first snowfall of the year and predictions are that more is on the way this weekend. As the mountain prepares itself for an exciting winter ahead, a new cold front will cause the snow to continue across Saturday and Sunday with dropping temperatures making Saturday the coldest day of the year in Thredbo so far.
The first snowfalls bring excitement and anticipation to the mountain as Thredbo gets ready for a massive winter. On the 7th June, Thredbo will then open its doors for this year’s snow season, which is set to be one of its most exciting yet.
With a range of activities and experiences catering for first-timers as well as skilled skiers and snowboarders, the 2014 winter season will see a number of new features and products added to Thredbo’s already impressive offering. Some of these include:
• A brand new snow play area for tobogganing and tubing, perfect for those who are keen to experience the pure magic of snow.
• An increase in the age for Kids Pricing. Now everyone 17 and under can access the discounted children’s rates, representing a great advantage for families with teenagers.
• An all new terrain park located on Thredbo’s famous Supertrail. Australia’s longest run.
