Winter Reds Festival 2021 drops its biggest ever line-up

Injecting some the warmth into the colder months, the Winter Reds Festival will bring open fires, red wines and rustic fare to the Adelaide Hills.

Rug up and head to the Adelaide Hills for a jam-packed schedule of wine-filled festivities this July.

A staple in the Adelaide cold-weather calendar, the Winter Reds festival has released its full line up for 2021, with a record number of events taking place in the Adelaide Hills after a more pared-back year in 2020 due to COVID restrictions. 

Set to delight visitors with wine tastings, parties, indulgent lunches and fun for all the family, mark the 23 – 25 July on your calendars as the time to head for the Hills to celebrate this year’s theme ‘What’s Your Red?’.

Plenty of alternative grape varieties will be on offer for those not partial to a wintery glass of red.

Jared Stringer, President of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region was thrilled that the festival was back with a bang for 2021. 

“We’re so excited about this year’s line-up. There’s something for everyone – from educational tastings for the ‘cork dorks’, to paired meals for foodies, and parties with live music by the fire for fun-lovers. This year, wineries across the Hills have been challenged to think about ‘What’s Your Red’ and have gone all out to create experiences that really showcase the best of their red wines, all packed into the best weekend of winter”. 

Highlights of the Winter Reds festival include: 

Fires, food and live music as well as the P&J 593º degustation at Pike and Joyce’s restaurant 

An Italian Reds Workshop at La Prova, discussing the Italian red grape varieties in the Hills in comparison to their native Italian counterparts 

Howard Vineyards Unique Fusion, a new wine blend paired with Korean food will showcase the popular Adelaide Hills winery

Be the Maker, a Winter Reds blending masterclass at The Lane offering guests an interactive wine making experience 

Little Fish Big Red Lunch, a two course South Australian seafood extravaganza at Landhaus Estate 

Mordrelle Wines’ Wanted: Red or Alive, a night of Latin passion, thrills and grills promising live music, South American cuisine and wine

Wick’s Estate Wines LONG lunch, presenting a mammoth eight-course wine-paired modern Asian degustation, with food from Concubine, Gin Long & Bai Long 

Dinner with Cato X Wandless, a five course paired meal at Ngeringa Vineyards from two of Sydney’s hottest young chefs
