“A drive to the Adelaide Hills;” it’s high on the list for us city folk when we contemplate how to spend the weekend or an unoccupied afternoon.

Set in a contemporary, fun setting, FRED Eatery provides fresh and vibrant comfort food utilising locally sourced produce.
Their Green Green Bowl is a healthy option. Think Pea, avocado hummus, seared asparagus, zucchini, puffed rice, pistachio and rocket and baby spinach salad. Add some haloumi, and voilà.
Perhaps their Happiness In A Bowl is more your thing (pictured above). Made with barbecued pork belly, kimchi, chilli caramel, omelette with peanut and mint salad, the flavours are bound to warm you right up.
You also can’t go wrong with their Hot & Sour Noodle Broth. This poached chicken, spinach, and coriander treat is what winter dining is all about.
The menu is also filled with many Adelaide Hills wines, showing off their region even more.
Equally lovely is their cake selection which is perfectly paired with FRED’s own coffee blend.
Don’t forget that their cafe is dog friendly and has pooch parking, dog treats and doggy lattes.
