This coming March 2026, the vibrant beats of WOMADelaide will once again fill the air of Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla, showcasing an array of global talent from more than 30 countries. For its 29th edition, running from March 6–9, WOMADelaide will feature an eclectic mix of 49 artists, promising a diverse cultural experience that resonates with audiences of all ages.

Headlining acts include the renowned Australian group Yothu Yindi, celebrating 35 years of their pivotal album Tribal Voice. Also taking centre stage will be Nigerian-born, London-based artist Obongjayar, known for his collaboration on Fred Again’s hit track adore u. Joining them are New Zealand’s Marlon Williams performing with his Kapa Haka group Ngā Mātai Pūrua, and Indian-American artist Ganavya, who will bring the essence of South Asian classical music to Adelaide.

The lineup continues with 82-year-old First Nations gospel singer Kankawa Nagarra, Cuban Grammy-nominee Roberto Fonseca, and Scandinavian folk quartet Åkervinda. National favourites like Yolŋu rapper and dancer Baker Boy, American singer-songwriter Iron & Wine, and Irish folk band Beoga round out the festival’s impressive international program.

Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison stated, “WOMADelaide is one of the most popular and revered festivals in the country, loved not only by South Australians but people from all over the world. It highlights world-class artists and a full festival experience, while attracting visitors to the state, and filling hotel rooms and restaurants.”

WOMADelaide Director Ian Scobie AM added, “Few festivals in the world are able to showcase the breadth and diversity of music, arts and dance from across the globe, especially on such a large scale, while appealing to audiences of all ages and tastes.” He noted the festival’s unique ability to introduce audiences to new and exciting global music, arts, and dance.

Beyond the music, WOMADelaide’s Around the Park program will deliver breathtaking performances including trampoline and tightrope acts by French dance-circus Cie Hors Surface, and interactive artistic sessions from Spanish troupe Osadía. Festivalgoers can also explore Taste the WorldWoMarketsKidZonePlanet Talks, and The Sanctuary Restaurant for a full cultural experience.

Since 1992, WOMADelaide has stood as a cornerstone of Adelaide’s festival season — proudly supported by the South Australian Government and celebrated globally for its creativity, inclusivity, and cultural exchange. Each year, it draws thousands of visitors from interstate and abroad, boosting tourism and solidifying its place alongside the Adelaide Fringe and Adelaide Festival as one of the city’s most iconic events.
