Woodstock Hits The Banks Of The River Torrens

This is going to be groovy…

Music and the 60s, they basically went hand in hand. And when you think back to the 60s it’s basically impossible not to throw back to Woodstock.

And the famous Festival is being revisted at a very special event aptly named Woodstock Revisited. Go figure…

On Sunday 3 April the banks of the River Torrens will turn back time so dust off your tie-dye, get your peace signs ready and BYO flower crowns for this music event hosted by Graham Cornes. The line up for the day includes Adelaide rock legends The 1965 Masters Apprentices, Bald Eagles, Full Tilt Janis and Graham Cornes All Stars.

Adelaide’s own Turner Real Estate is proud to be supporting the event with owner Robin Turner saying, “Although it wasn’t the first of its kind, Woodstock offered the very best – and some of the weirdest – musical acts, it really was a fantastic historical event!”

With proceeds from the day will benefitting 4 of Adelaide’s hardest working and hippest charities – COTA SA, Hutt St Centre, Kidney Health Australia and Zoos SA – all of which help our community in so many ways, it is more than just a good time. It is a good time for a cause!

“Music is such as great way to bring people together. Hutt St Centre has a band of a group of fellows who jam each week. They really enjoy the company of each other and playing together,” Ian Cox, CEO of Hutt St Centre says.

“I love the idea of an Adelaide Rotary event that supports our charities using music to bring people together. Woodstock Revisited should be great fun.”

There will also be a prize for the most far out, happening 60’s-inspired threads so make sure you get into the Woodstock spirit and dress up! Join the in-crowd under the trees on the banks of the River Torrens and groove the day away. Chow down on some great food and wine and cut shapes dancing as you get back in touch with your hippy side. Right on!
