Aruma 1The mighty River Murray will come alive with a magnificent medley of water sport action, power boat displays, live music and food at the Malibu Open Day, while showcasing the aspirational Aruma River Resort at Walker Flat.

The free Open Day kicks off at 10am on Sunday, November 10 2013 with the emphasis very much on entertainment, community, fun, and relaxation for the entire family in a magnificent setting co-owned by Burke Urban, the Hurley Group and footy legends Mark Ricciuto and Simon Goodwin.

Visitors to the Malibu Open Day also get the chance to explore the family friendly holiday shacks – available for rental or purchase – that make up this spectacular riverside destination.  And by entering the special Open Day competition, they’ll put themselves in line to get a hint of what Aruma River Resort living is all about, with a three-night stay in the new Executive Riverview home up for grabs.

For the thrill-seekers, there’s a constant stream of wakeboarding and barefooting demonstrations performed by world-class skiers, as well as a number of action displays where the latest models of Malibu boats will be put through their paces on the water by event partners, Elite Ski Boats.

The more sedentary are also catered for, with BBQ facilities and numerous tranquil spots along the river bank beckoning them to settle down for a home-made picnic lunch while relaxing to the strains of great live music. A community sausage sizzle and soft-drinks will be available for purchase, but this is a picnic day, so don’t forget your picnic basket and chairs.
