Commencing on Tuesday 4th October 2011 at the Tap Inn Hotel at Kent Town, Volleyball SA are excited to be able to offer a "world 1st" opportunity to play indoor Pub Volleyball on a padded synthetic grass surface.

The 1st season will be 10 weeks in duration and the very nature of the competition ensures it is perfect for anyone who enjoys healthy social activities involving sport, friends & music. A great way to get the body active again after the cold winter.

At a cost of $35 per team per game it is incredibly affordable and works out to $6 – $9 per player (depending on team numbers). There is no team nomination fee – only per match fees. Whilst there are a maximum of 4 players on court at any time – extra players are encouraged to make up the team. Volleyball has a terrific rotation system which means all players will have the same amount of time on court regardless of team numbers.

Teams can be mixed or gender based – there will be a division for everyone! If players have played a bit before the grading system will see them in a different division to a team of raw beginners.

So now is your chance to play the 2nd most played sport in the world! Why is it so popular world wide – because it is a great game that has absolutely no barriers! Anywhere, Anytime, Anyone!

Whilst Pub Volleyball is the latest edition to the Volleyball calendar – there are many other opportunities to play the game. Everything from midweek "after work" Twilight Volleyball on the beach at Glenelg, Henley and Christies Beaches throughout the daylight saving period, Adelaide City Beach which goes off over summer on all nights during the week as well as traditional indoor volleyball for serious and recreational players.

Let us not forget the kids – Spikezone Mini Volleyball is an awesome game for kids aged 8 – 13.
