Walkerville’s popular brunch spot Yolk Café has launched a new menu for winter and our mouths are watering.
With new Head Chef Landon Roomes taking the reigns at the insta-worthy eatery, guests paying Yolk a visit can expect a whole host of delicious new offerings on the menu, as well as a winter shake up on some old classics, transforming the light brunch menu to something into something that offers to warm you up on the coldest of winter days.
The new menu includes honey plum roasted haloumi and avo with a crispy lemon kale as well as plentiful options for classic breaks favourites such as eggs on toast your way, overnight oats and cured salmon with pickled onions on a seeded bagel.
For anyone who prefers a sweet start to their day, the coffee meringue waffles with gingerbread crumb, and hot jam doughnut french toast with berry nut mascarpone offer the perfect balance of dessert and breakfast that really hits the sweet spot.
Yolk Café creator Zac Mucklow was delighted with the menu shake-up and can’t wait for to welcome even more hungry patrons through the door to try the new and improved dishes, or just to revisit some of their favourites.
“We really wanted to get more creative and playful with the winter menu” he says.
“We have left some of our most popular dishes on the menu and reinvented others. For example our popular Bombay cauliflower bowl can now be enjoyed on sourdough as a hearty and whole brunch dish”.
As well as a new Head Chef in the kitchen, the venue has finalised completion of its brand spanking new outdoor space, complete with umbrellas, lush green garden space and outdoor heating (much needed over the chillier months) where guests can enjoy an al fresco brunch in this popular spot.
The space is even available for function hire and boasts a relaxed indoor/outdoor open feel, perfect for celebrating any milestone event.
